Character: was the face scar because of their own fire or because of something else? If it was something else did that thing give your character the ability to control fire? They have a uniform, is that a self made one?
World: your character has a gas mask, is that a personal choice or did something happen to the world and everyone has to wear a mask (at least in some areas)? are they part of a world police force (because of their uniform)? Do others treat them poorly or nice because of their facial scars?
Combat: Do they have trouble in combat because they have one eye? Are they a support or stand alone hero?
